No two dynos are alike..the percentages are small. Also you must take into consideration the environment the engine is seeing.

I would like to see the same comparison using data from LMR on their dyno with an LT1, LS3 and LS7.
S.
that would rule out this being a car that is down on power as some seem to think, because they're comparing other dynos.

Exactly.
But it will become a moot point soon. Many of us are starting to get our cars, they will be at the track, on the dyno and on the scales. It will put all the guessing to rest.

Will it still count if it's run in -1000'-2000' DA with track prep that pulls your shoes off at the tree like when C6 Z06 and ZR1 records are set?

Of course it will.

I was just pointing out how people like making a big deal about all the different dyno numbers we get (granted you can fudge them) saying that it's just a tuning tool, but I think its funny at certain tracks where you can run, I'll call them "magical" numbers and while yes, it honestly runs that number there, take them to any other track beside those few and the numbers will be vastly different. Now if you've always run your cars there then its a great comparison (tool, not unlike a dyno) but anyone else who sees a good number from those few tracks need to know that they can't just run out to their local track and crack off those times no matter how good a driver they are. That being said I am really looking forward to seeing times the C7 puts down in comparison to other cars (preferably that day) that have run/are running there.

I believe the guys that run @ MIR if this is one of the tracks you are speaking of know this track is a fast track most of the time. This being said, why not go to a track to better your PB or try to hit that number ?

Never said I didn't believe them Why wouldn't I go to another dyno as well to get a better number? The shop I use has nicknames like heartbreaker and such because it dynos so low.

Oh, and this.....

With that said (posted?) I'll stop derailing and cluttering up the first independent dyno test of the C7. I'm sure we'll have plenty more in the next few days/weeks!

This is correct.

Be checking back in the near future for some stronger results with our different packages we are coming out with. This C7 is a great starting point!
