Thanx..
Most of the "off-road" style (i.e. no cats) definitely save weight on the C5/C6's so one would assume the same for the C7. I believe it's @25lbs minimum on those gens just for reference.

I should know final weights on all of our header designs shortly, as they are going to be different.

Typically speaking 20-26 lbs weight savings isn't out of the question.

I know Akrapovic is working on an muffler system for the car but we are still months off on that.

Thanks for this info
I would like to add that a 3LT heated and cooled drivers side seat weighs 60lbs.

In GM official brochure, they site the best numbers from the Z51 model, but when it comes to curb weight, they site the lighter base model. Seems like the heaviest model is the 3LT Z51 at close to 3425.
That probably includes MSRC. I wish we could get the breakdown for models like a 1LT Z51 without MSRC.

Thank you for the info. That is quite a savings in weight. I'm looking at mid-length headers with hi-flo cats. That setup seems to be popular for some who don't want to re-tune the vehicle.

I'll try and update the thread as I go, and as we go further into the car too.

My car is a manual 1lt z51 and it weighed 3362 on my corner scales with 3/4 tank of fuel.

Impressive. Did you adjust the bolts to get those values or is that stock?

Appears to be 92 pounds heavier(with a full tank of gas, 3390) than what GM says is the curb weight of the base C7(3298).

Z51 has a lot more content than a base C7. The Z51 is a 3400lb car no matter how you slice it (with a full tank). Fuel is 6.6 lbs/gal.

I posted some OEM wheel specs in a thread a while back. Not sure if this will help to add to the collective good or not

Keep it coming!

I'll try and update it as I go along with the tear downs on the cars.

Has anyone ever seen wheel weights for the stock non-Z51 wheels? The link above has to be wheels and tires.

Agreed... My non-Mag Ride M7 1LT Z51 with Comp seats weighed 3317 with ~1/4 tank. I calculated that it would be a hair over 3400 with a topped-off tank.

No corner-weighting done, yet.

My completely stock 2014 C7 Z51 1LT M7 with mag dampers full of fuel weighs 3411 lbs.

Corner weights scales leveled within 1/16":

LF = 812
RF = 890
LR = 882
RR = 827

Front % = 49.9%
Left % = 49.7%
Cross (LF+RR)/3411 = 48%

My mission in life is to drop 100 lbs from the car. So far ARH mid-length, 24 lbs, Halltech all carbon cai, 8 lbs., Carbon plenum and rail covers, 2 lbs, Braille light weight battery, 18 lbs., removed emblems, stingrays, CORVETTE on the rear bumper 4 oz. changing to B & B bullets, ??? yet. Installed GT MAT sound deadening 10 lbs added. Net weight loss is about 42 lbs so far. Eventually I will change the rotors and tires to non runflats. This should drop about 12-14 lbs. per wheel.
