Red sounds like ATF...Or Dexcron, whatever GM calls it these days.
Could also be coolant...

I thought it was just an electric pump, but still hydrolic in nature. Am I wrong?

Been a while since I worked for Chevy but I'm sure electric p/s has no fluid.

Nothing on the floor this morning after driving it last night. Maybe just a fluid burp as suggested.

New car, brand new model, oily substance in weird place...
If you cannot definitively determine where it came from, I wouldn't assume anything - I would have it checked.
At the very least, I wouldn't want oil on my brand new car's carpet?

Oops, somehow I read, "front" as "foot" in the title. (kozmic --->
)
Anyhow... doesn't change my opinion that it should absolutely be checked if it cannot be determined where the fluid came from.

If it is an automatic, check the lines from the transmission to the radiator.

Z51's have an issue coughing up crankcase oil on the right front. This happened to mine. There's a TSB on it. Can be caused by overfilling or a stuck PCV valve. Check to see if it comes out of the air intake tubes.
For more info, see the threads under major oil leak.

Dexcool is usually an orange color and it would be easy to compare what leaked to what is in the coolant reservoir.
It sounds like ATF, do you have an automatic transmission? If so get it checked at the dealer because there isn't a vent for the auto up front and leaking cooler lines generally don't self repair.
