Ugh... so you have to pull the rack and balancer for each cam swap. Is the new balacner keyed so you don't have to have a crazy torque procedure?

This car makes between 2800-3000hp. The team just went a 4.53 @172mph in the 1/8 mile(they are qual number 4 with a 32 car field). This is like a 6.6 to 6.7 in the 1/4 mile at over 215mph. This car runs on a 275 Drag Radial!!! =)

Mark Carlyle runs a 315 drag radial, these are 275's. We ended up going a 4.45 @174mph this weekend. We made it to the third round of eliminations and ended up losing that race. All in all good weekend, the car went the fastest its ever gone with 80mm reducers in the turbo's and at 3250lbs.

Back to more C7 work this week!

Congrats on the great time guys... 4.45@174 is moving out.

As stated before I do run the 315 radial in 1/4 mile racing... we have tested the 275 and were much faster on it in the 1/8th vs the 315 with the same tune up, but you gain too much gear to finish the 1/4 on that tire...

I am glad to see you guys running such great times ... Good luck with the rest of the season, I hope it continues to go well.

Thanks man, how quick have you been to the 1/8 mile? We are heading to Vegas to air ours out 1/4 mile. Would be cool if you could show, so we can show the world how the LSX platforms can do!! People freak when I tell them this firebird is just a little 427ci engine!

My best so far has been 4.441@172.39 with a 1.17 60'... that was on the 315's.

We are headed out to Maryland this weekend and are hoping to go to Vegas after, depending on how things go.

Mine is still a 427 as well... It's crazy when you beat a big block twin 94 car and they go... wait that's a small block? What do you mean it still has the IRS?

Hell ya!! So awesome. We qual number 3 this weekend in Radial vs the World and won quarter finals and on our way "I think" to win event when we got rained out. We were only small block in class. haha. All other cars had Big blocks with Twin 94s most of which are on alcohol.
