Default C-7

The C-7 is turning quick 60ft's at the strip which is helping it's times.
The 50/ 50 balance is helping the C-7. The C-6 being more front heavy
is not as fast out of the hole!

I'll go with the launch control being the bigger contributor since both have 50-50 weight and both are about the same on total weight. Tire compounds and suspension improvements are also going to play a part. C7 is making a great impression though at the track cutting 1.4-1.5~ 60ft from what I have seen. What did we see a 10sec pass, now a nine sec pass, on H/C/I Exhaust and nitros with 305/19 MT on the back, pretty impressive considering the car just came out. Looks like the platform is going to have a bunch of potential!

I disagree.
I have not used LC once and gone 11.4 bone stock with a 1.68 60'.

Ok, so if its not weight, and distribution of weight which is what OP was saying, to what do you attribute? My point was it wouldn't appear to be those factors as much as the electronics and improvements in tire/suspension setup. So the new Gen is better, in every way performance/comfort wise, which is exactly what everyone would have expected.

I would guess it's a number of things, from changes to the A6 (smaller convertor, revised shift strategy, etc.) to the big differences in torque output of the LT1 vs. the LS3.

What I am saying is that none of my passes were using TC, therefore it is not the reason the C7 is quicker/faster than the LS3 IMO. It also ran pretty consistent 120 mph trap speeds last week, which is pretty much unheard of for a stock C6/LS3 car.

They both have almost identical weight distributions, and for the record the C7 is more rear heavy; it is the C6 that has near 50/50 weight distribution.

The C7 cuts faster 60' times because it runs MUCH stickier tires from the factory.
