You can postulate all you want but until you drive or ride in a 6 liter V12 and take it to 9000 RPM's and hit the paddle shifter to the next gear it is hard to understand the difference. I love my existing C6 GS and am looking forward to my inbound C7 but nothing compares to a screaming V12 @ 9000 RPM's developing 730 HP. The F12 is not designed to road race. It is a 200+ MPH GT with all the creature comforts and adrenalin rushes money can buy.
As the owner of a "Highly Modified" 1991 Ferrari Testarossa, I couldn't AGREE MORE!!!..Mark
Just when you thought it was safe to take a stand on engine architecture/performance out pops Mazda with this in it's LMP cars: 4 cyl. 2.2 liter DIESEL making 400/450!!!
I never argue, I just post up this vid.....less C.I. at 415, than current LS engines, naturally aspirated, old tech engine management, gets 24 M.P.G at 75 M.P.H with the A/C on, best E.T. 10.49 at 135 M.P.H., 2 M.P.H. (182) faster at the Texas mile than a 2010 ZR-1

That is a nice highly modified c4. I am not sure what the point is though. It is still a nose heavy vette that loses the tail end whenever you try to corner hard with it.

I know the original post was a very long time ago, but go back and read it, and you may find the point.......here's a hint, it has nothing to do with cornering....but since you seem......well unenlightened..... let me enlighten you about those nose heavy ZR-1s.

Thanks for the video if you watch the vette's tail walks out on most of the corners. You make my point for me. Unlike you I have watched these cars in person and they could not keep up with the l98 cars of the era in cornering because of there unbalanced weight bias. I am not knocking the car just saying what I have seen in competition events. I wanted to buy a used zr1 back in the day but the pushrod engines became just as fast and I did not want the high maintanance of the dohc engine.

Did you see anyone pass him? Do you have any idea how fast they were turning laps, and the speeds they were reaching? Did you notice what cars he was racing? Every time you post, you show complete ignorance of the topic....not stupidity, I don't have enough information to determine that, but you have made your ignorance incredibly obvious. Unlike you, I not only watch em, I drive em.

There are a myriad of adjectives to describe "Chuck's" utter lack of knowledge & understanding of a car's complexities & nuances. "1" thing is readily apparent, Chuck's ignorance is fathomless unlike the Marianas Trench. Maybe Santa brought Chuck "a clue" as a Christmas present, We can only hope!...Mark
Designer Imagines A Corvette That Looks More Like a Corvette Than the Corvette
Slideshow: A Jaguar designer's personal project imagines what a modern front-engined Corvette might look like if Chevrolet revisited the golden age of the Stingray.
