Default V3si Vs V3ti

This didn't generate a lot of discussion. Even though the "Big 2"
are both using Vortech heads.

Si is 1150cfm. Ti is new and is 1400cfm.
My kit is ready to ship. It has a V3si in black in the box.
If I want the Ti. It will be a longer wait. But that's not an issue
I have PLENTY of projects going right now!

Going by my Ls-3 experience the Si was great.
On the ls7 however the bigger blower was better.
The CFM requirement 's of the LT1 should be no more than the Ls3.

ECS recommends the larger, A&A the smaller.
I think in the 570-630 area the Si maybe the winner.

78 percent vs 75 percent Efficiency.

It seems to me it may have a 18-20 rwhp advantage with the 3.8 pulley. Restrictor plate would seem to me may change the efficiency
some.

This is a toss-up. I don't see raising beyond the 3.8 pulley.
if I did it would be bigger for sure!

What is not talked about is the Straight shot from the filter to the
blower head. The C-6 had the "dreaded dongle" that was required
to get over the radiator.

These blowerhead's will all work better on the C7 with the short belts too!

As a guy with a larger blower, I think that without a restrictor (or whatever you want to call it to basically spin up the impeller faster) you should head for the V3Si for a quicker spool and more mid-range power.

If you want to go bigger down the road and have more high-end power, then be all over the V3Ti.

Can you post a link to this new V3Ti blower?

No link, but an old quote from Andy: -- It's in between the Novi 1500 and 2200.

Andy, are you allowed to give any info on the Ti trim?? Curious to know.

Sort of. I have one on my Trailblazer SS. The volute is machined out to a slightly larger ID and the impeller is larger. The T Trim already has a VERY efficient impeller design, so the improvement is not as noticeable as it was from S Trim to Si Trim a few years ago.

Vortech hasn’t kept up with their website, but here are basic specs:
Ti - Trim
http://www.vortechsuperchargers.com/page.php?id=30004
Si - Trim
http://www.vortechsuperchargers.com/page.php?id=30148

As most know impeller and volutes are interchangeable throughout V1, V2 and V3 families. V1 - straight cut gears w/3.45:1 stepup ratio, V2 - helically cut gears w/3.61:1 stepup ratio and V3 - helically cut gears w/3.61:1 stepup ratio (also has oil slinger to centrifuge oil up onto gears and bearings).

On paper the discussion should be Si vs. T (Novi 1500) trims as they are rated only 50 CFM apart. In real life the difference is more significant as T trim can be pushed harder and has been proven to do better.
