This is a nearly 9 year old thread.

Best bet is to peruse the "Autocrossing & Roadracing" sub-forum.

Helmets are a personal choice. They all fit a little different even within brands so it can be a challenge to buy online. You need to know if the club/group you're running with requires an SA rated helmet and if so from what year....ie SA15, SA20. Most will not allow older. If they do not require an SA rated helmet, then you can consider an "M" rated helmet which is typically for motorcycles. Plenty of threads via Google on the difference between the two. SA is more expensive and when you read about it you'll see why. Then you get into open face vs closed. Fiberglass (f'ing heavy) vs Carbon Fiber and there are varieties in between.

For a fire-extinguisher bracket, VetteWorks has some you can consider.

Based on questions, I assume you're new. Strongly recommend ensuring the car is prepped....Good brake fluid, check the pads, tires that aren't old, etc. Again......lots of prep info in the Autocross & Roadracing section of the forum
