Here is my question... Why did the OP even start this thread...just to bash Hennessy because of a picture where we don't even know what happened.

I don't care one way or another for Hennessy, but I think the Corvette Forum is severely lacking when they take money from the forum vendors, then let some guy with 8 posts start a thread like this with no information backing up his claims.

While I enjoyed the 'marshmallow' picture, if anywhere, this belongs in General.

The OP started the same thread in the general area and it was locked by one of the admins. The admin gave the reasons why based on the forum rulres.

This is why most smart people research any shop they bring their car to. Reputations exist for a reason. There are literally volumes of information on how bad Hennessey is.

Aren't they a sponsor for this section? No one defends them? I researched them and didn't like what I saw so I stayed away, but their marketing is good.

Hennessy is a forum vendor. Let me point out some forum rules that apparently some of you are not aware of:

There is a place for vendor feedback - Help and Feedback > Transactions Feedback. In a sticky thread there is the following:

New "Transactions and Feedback" Section

This “Transactions and Feedback” section comes as a result of suggestions from Corvetteforum users and is an effort to consolidate feedback – both positive and negative – in one spot where it will be easier to find.

You’ll note there is a sticky thread listing Forum members who are willing to inspect parts or Corvettes offered for sale in their area for other site users who are located too far away to make their own inspections. If you are willing to help others out in this manner, please post to the thread.

Another sticky thread is a consolidated listing of sellers and buyers other Forum members have had good experiences with.

Also note, however, the sticky threads on how to report an issue or a concern involving a transaction. This section will be a useful tool for Forum members trying to make a purchasing decision, but it cannot substitute for being careful and doing your research before sending someone money for parts. Most users of the site are fair and honest, but there are some people out there waiting to prey on us if we are not cautious.

Check this section for feedback. Do a search to see if there have been unresolved issues with a seller or buyer. Check out previous transactions involving the person you are interested in doing business with and contact others who have done business with them in the past.

One of the things you might find on your search is a thread posted from an unresolved dispute. Each party in the dispute is allowed to post their version of the facts. Corvetteforum isn’t in a position to determine whose “facts” are the “correct facts.” Use your best judgment in reviewing the dispute threads.

If you find yourself caught up in an issue on a transaction, first contact the other party to try and resolve the issue offline. You also can contact a moderator for help on how to proceed.

Corvetteforum tries to work with site users offline to resolve disputes on transactions, but when no resolution can be reached, we encourage the posting of a factual account of the dispute as per site rules:

http://forums.corvetteforum.com/foru...-disputes.html

Once the parties directly involved in the dispute have had a chance to post their version of the facts, the threads are locked and are available for review by those making purchasing decisions.

In the past, dispute threads have been posted in any number of sections, usually depending upon where the original sale thread was posted. Moderators have made an effort over the past several months to locate all of those dispute threads and to copy them to this section.

If you find dispute threads we may have missed, PM a moderator with a link to the thread and we’ll be glad to copy it here.

If you have questions or further suggestions, let us know via PM or e-mail.

As for "Corvette Forum is severely lacking when they take money from the forum vendors, then let some guy with 8 posts start a thread like this with no information backing up his claims", let me point out that the moderators rely heavily on members reporting violations. This is out of necessity. There are over 3 million threads and over 45 million posts. It is not possible for a few moderators to read every thread, much less every post. If you find a post or thread that you think violates the rules, use the Report Post icon () and that will notify the moderators to take a look.

This thread is not an unresolved dispute so it does not belong in the Transactions Feedback section. It is conjecture and unrelated third parties stating their opinions and vendor bashing. Therefore, it has been closed.
