Just picked up my C7 Last week, and let me tell you I love it.
First corvette ever and saved up a bunch of cash to buy it and I finally have my dream car.
Unfortunately I am only 21 and just learning to drive it really.
I have driven manual before but I have stalled my car a few times and occasionally if I stall it, it has a difficult time starting, it usually takes an extra second or two (going through the rotations). This happens maybe 30% of the time but it doesn't sound that great.
I'm just speculating that it might be slightly flooded after the stall which would account for the longer start. As long as it starts normally otherwise I wouldn't worry about it. There are some older posts about the direct injected LT1 engine being slower to start than Corvette engines.

Thanks for the reply.
I ended up buying the car used with 4.5k kms on it for 50 grand.
All i could think about was; did I just sink 50 grand into a car with a broken starting system???
But overall, it starts normally every time. Its just after a stall it takes an extra rotation or two to get her going.

What you are seeing is normal. I have stalled mine a few times and it does take longer to restart. Acts like it is flooded but I doubt that is the case.

Honestly, takes a giant relief off my mind.
I just bought the car a few weeks ago and havent really driven manual and people stare awkwardly when some young kid is stalling such a car.
It really freaked me out the first few times.
I got it a week ago yesterday, but im getting much better at driving it and only stalled 2 times today after driving 20 miles.
Same for me. The first couple days I stalled it several times while getting use to the clutch and it would take little longer to start back up. You will get used to it pretty quickly and stalling will not be an issue. It's not the easiest clutch to learn but much smoother than my brothers Shelby. By the way good work on saving the money I am impressed. Most guys your age would have been spending the money on stupid stuff.
The DI (direct injection) fuel system is the likely reason for the slightly slow start. The injectors won't be triggered until sufficient fuel rail pressure is achieved by the camshaft driven high pressure fuel pump. So the starter will have to spin the engine a few revolutions for rail pressure to recover.
