Right now im tuned using washer fluid -20. Im thinking about going to 100% meth to gain some power seeing as i don't go through meth all that fast. I have read mixed reviews on using 100% vs 50/50 mix. Whats everyone's view on it? Im making 650/657 right now with meth, headers, ecs blower. Also where is the best place to buy straight methanol?

I use straight methanol and get it from R & R Speed & Machine Shop in Huntsville, AL. They sell it by the gallon or barrel. Water doesn't burn so seems counterproductive to me. Also ECS and Alky Control recommend 100% methanol.
Any concentration of methanol over 50% is combustible. Water and methanol both alone or together will cool your engine and IAT temps which will keep your ECM from retarding the timing. However if you want to increase your performance, Methanol in 70-100% concentrations increases your overall octane when mixed in the cylinder, allowing for even higher boost. Since methanol is a fuel, it also supplements the fuel pressure in a DI engine, which will drop quicker, the higher the boost.
The top builders run 100% meth. I use pure meth, and my car responds very well. It is so cheap to run straight meth, for the extra power and detonation control. I'm not sure what meth kit you have, but with Alky control's kit you should only run M1 meth. M3 or M5 meth burns out the seals and pump much faster than M1. That is straight from the owner of Alky control, Julio.
662 hp here on our 2014 Z51 A6.. 100% VP Racing Fuels M1 methanol (ECS alky meth control), ECS supercharger and American Racing LT headers. I am tuned for 100% meth and I have purchased a couple of 5 gallon containers of VP M1 from a company in Haltom City, Texas called Speedtek. A 5 gallon container of VP M1 at Speedtek cost me roughly $60 bux.
Im really thinking about doing it now! thanks for all of the replies. I have an aem meth kit with dual nozzles right now. i just have the restrictor plate pulled on the ecs kit making 11-12psi. I want to keep it somewhat safe. will i need to pulley down and up the boost to see results with pure meth? Will m1 be ok with the aem kit?

M1 is fine. Running Alky meth kit installed by ECS and tuned by Doug
M1 at a shop in PA is 33 bucks for each 5 gal. A 55 gal drum is a little over 200.
I only use straight M1 or M5 (depending on availability). No reason to go cheap on meth unless, like you said, you're tuned for a 50/50 blend.
Theta, VP states that you should not use M5 for meth injection because it has a combustion additive and could ignite it the intake tube. They say to use M1 for meth injection.
Side note for those spraying with the Alky Meth Control (Julio / ECS). Just had a small scare after taking my car to a local dealership for some warranty repair on my dash. I gave them my car to replace my factory defective carbon fiber dash. It was pretty warped and not lining up properly. When they put it all back together, they forgot to hook up my hazard lights. Well, they had to take it ALL apart again to re-connect my hazard light switch. While doing so, they were not at all gentle with the alky meth control box (the one with the red LED light and big **** on it). A few hours later, the dealership completed the work (under warranty of course) and I just started to drive it home.
I noticed my red LED light was not on and I pressed the "test" button. I did not work either. I limped my car home and was very upset because I called the dealership to find out what their tech had done. He told me he had to pry my control box a little bit to get to a screw under the dash. I called Julio and he was very cool and walked me through troubleshooting everything. Long story short, the tech pulled on the control box so hard that it popped a solder joint of a tiny small orange wire inside the box. That wire is connected to the large **** on the control box. I re-soldered the orange wire back in place.. viola! Power returned and the system worked perfectly. So, I just thought I would mention this in case anyone else is left scratching their head trying to figure out why their meth control system won't turn on (after checking the CAT5 cable connection, power / ground connections and the inline 15a fuse).
Jeez... Shame on the tech for 'prying' anything. I get the need to work around aftermarket mods (I really do), but that seemed a bit much.
Kudos on getting in there and taking care of the problem.
I just switched over to small panel-mount CAT6 couplers (about an inch long vs. the large white box) and ran a 10ft CAT6 to the rear trunk area. Gives you a lot of extra room up there when re-routed.
Glad to hear you got it fixed - Julio is damned quick with responses. I need to remember to ask him about how to clean the in-line filter. Think I got some little black flecks of crap in my last fill.
