After about 100 miles one cat disintegrated forcing me to have them cleaned up. There is also the potential for damaging the mufflers with the debris besides the mess it leaves when they explode.

What's the difference mike? Will the aftermarket high flow cats have more durability?

Unfortunately after market. Bought Kooks headers with high flow cats (not green). Totally destroyed one forcing me to delete both.

Does it sound worse without cats ?? Some say its ounds too raspy with the NPP and no cats. I was looking at thetas thread that relocates the npp fuse to inside the cabin. I suck at DIY projects. Are you any better at that stuff?? Maybe we can get together one day and attempt it. I'm sure we cant live far

Wish I could do stuff like that. I depend on gurus from ECS and Vengeance Racing to do these types of things.

It does change the tone especially at decel. Will burble and pop a lot more. Especially with aftermarket cat back.

Was strange at first then grew to love it as it sounds like no other car out on the road. At least the ones I've encountered so far

How do you get by NJ's strict emissions tests without cats? In PA they could care less but I know Jersey is probably second to CA with the clean air stuff.

$3900 for the complete system. It has the vertical intercooler.
Great looking install.

At what rpm does boost start coming on with the stock cam and stock exhaust?

And do you need to do any machining or balancing to install the Wiesco pistons, if that option is choosen?

And is the C7 kit emissions legal in California as yet?

I'm thinking the A&A kit is similar to the ECS. You can feel it building boost if "on it" from 2500 RPM and up. I believe Andy is working with CAFE and a CF member to try and get his kit CARB approval.
