Here are pics of mine (170*). Again, I have both the Summit and the Lingenfelter and can personally confirm their difference. Is the actual thermostat bulb itself different, probably not. The difference is in the rubber gasket/seal. The Lingenfelter has a gasket with squared off edges that fits around the outer edge of the T-Stat in a "U" shape around the metal. It is a removable rubber piece. The Summit 170* that I have has a much thicker rubber seal around it, and it is made onto the actual T-Stat and is NOT removable. You can see here that the rubber seal on this one is NOT how I described the Lingenfelter one. You can see that the inner edge of the gasket in the first picture it angles towards the center. The LF one did NOT do this and was much more flimsy.

The Lingenfelder Tstats are NOT the same as the Summit ones ABSOLUTELY POSITIVELY. I have had both. I have also done your bulb mod. And yes it works fine. However, if you ever want to go back to stock you have to buy the Tstat assembly, which includes the Tstat housing. And YES I have also done that.

Please don't call me a liar.

Run the car with the cap off the reservoir until it reaches full temp. If the level of the coolant starts going down, add coolant to the reservoir.

The 10167 is available on Amazon, free delivery, $24, though it only has a single (bad) review:

https://smile.amazon.com/Jet-Perform...ermostat+10167

Same part number though, so I assume the same stat?

As the last reply said, put as much mixture back into the plastic tank as possible, walk away a few times and let it slowly go in(you will see bubbles. Do this before you start the motor. Once the level stabilizes, leave the cap off and start the engine. Be ready with a couple more quarts of mixture, the level will drop as the motor runs, but you only have to add 1 or 2 times. As you get close to the stat opening, you should watch with the cap in your hand because the level will rise, screw the cap on and with in a minute the stat will open. Look at the outside of the tank with a led flashlight and as soon as you see the level drop (it drops fast) slowly open the cap to relieve any pressure and start adding mixture. BTW, be on the safe side and turn up the temp inside the car to max heat as soon as you start the motor.
