Personally, I think the smart thing to do is to wait on the entire project of installing a cam, E-85 controller tune, etc., until you can afford to include a header install at the same time. Much cheaper labor and additional savings on tuning. I would also do a dyno baseline pull to know just how much HP/Torque the mods actually produce.

I'm tryin to make sure if I can run a cam without headers if it's safe or doable for good performance
If it is I was gonna install the headers with the supercharger next summer
Also doing cam and ported intake and manifold and not gonna dyno the e85 to see what kinda Hp am I naturally getting without the gas
My car made over 700 rwhp with out headers with a supercharger and a cam. There are also plenty of Z06's making good power without headers. You will be giving up some HP but not much. I ended up putting on 2" ARH on mine mainly because of the sound and the lope of the cam is also more pronounced. It's hard to say what the headers added because I made several changes at one time and it was tuned by two different people on two different dynos. I'm not saying headers don't add hp. I'm saying if they added 20hp with no cam they might add 25 with a cam.
