Bfon I did not lose any functions but actually gained a couple I now have traffic and weather. You are correct on the 2014/2015 model years but there was a note saying to call them if installing in a 2014/2015. I have a 2017 so no problems.

OK you sold me with that last post. If you could, please provide website for me to purchase. As a sidebar, (according to other post) with the proper trim tools the speaker cover can be removed w/o removing the pillar. Either way no big deal. this looks like a simple swap out. Thanks Again!

Thanks to all that offered input to gain actual Nav. Ordered unit and it's on it's way. Talked to customer rep before placing order, and she sent me link for a 2016 HMI model. She said the 2015 module was slower. They also had listed a 2016-2017. Not sure the difference except maybe the maps are more up to date.
Just installed. Everything works just as if factory installed. Pictures attached. No loss of XM or driver preferences.Nothing to reset. Phone took 30 seconds to pair. Nav location spot on. Instead of splitting with OnStar antenna used dedicated antenna. Truly a plug & play.
Does anyone know if there is a Nav solution for 2018 owners? I have a 1LT without nav, and all the links I've seen only show up to 2017. I tried the units listed on ebay, and when I select my yr. and model of car, it says it's not compatible with my car.

If you call Digital Dash Solutions at 860-792-8021 they can answer your question. I got my io6 module from them that's all they do is electronics.

They not only set me on the right path but offered a better module at a cheaper price than what I was looking at. Be sure to ask if there are any functions you may loose with the upgrade.For example . Z51's have different software than base even though the infotainment system appears the same. Different software - possibly different functions. The more research you do now, the less problems later.
