Default decal

Just to add to the fun, Chevrolet just wrote me saying that it is safe and okay to put the decal on over the defrost. But do I trust them? Hmmmmm.

Again to be clear, there is no issue in regards to the operation of the rear defrost when a decal or tint is placed over the grid lines. The potential issue is removing the decal improperly and rendering your back window defrost useless.

Its your choice to do what you want, either way the sun will come up in the morning. You have the info to make an educated choice that works best for you. All you need to do is call your shot.

Thanks for the compliment. It is both a source of great joy and great pain but its exactly why I bought it. I wanted to learn and work on a different platform and this frankenstien suits that need. It was just a base 2014 Stingray when it was totalled. I am the third owner of a hand me down project but by the time the spring comes we should have something fully insurable and able to lisence for the first time since 2014 in Texas. Once I can actually insure and plate it then the bigger more expensive mods come. Its completed a structural inspection with only the mechanical left but I am minus 30 here today so the Sport Cup 2 tires are staying on a heated floor for a few more months. Dripping of irony in the fact this was basically built as a grand sport in a dark blue before dark blue grand sports were out there.

Well, obviously a work of love. I haven't had a Vette since the 70's and fell in love with the new design in 2014. Had to wait till now to buy one, but so far (1 week), I am totally impressed and happy. Good luck to you in your project. Take care.
