Black Jack
EFI-Tuning is doing my remote tuning. I've great confidence in his abilities and, again, First Class service.
My ported and ceramic coated exhaust manifolds were done by SoCal Porting. I'm happy with the work they've done.
WOW! I forgot to mention the coolest looking mod, my Mighty Mouse Catch Can! Excellent quality and an important part for engines in a race environment.

21st Century Muscle Cars in Addison,TX did the install and did it great! I look forward to having them do more of the wrenching on my car.
Thanks Bigsapper ~ We appreciate you allowing us to serve you ! Yvé
Other than drag radials, this is where I'm drawing the line in the sand for 2017.
<- SEGWOW! That wideband O2 sensor really woke this car up.

j/k.
Actually, the Halltech has a definite seat of the pants improvement.

We'll see what the track brings.

There's a Texas True Street Shootout at Northstar Dragway (1/8-mile) in Denton tomorrow. I was wanting to race this but the closest class that I see I can fit is a 6.50 index. Since I'm about 7.50, that will make for a short day. :S I may just go to watch. A few of the Street Outlaws guys are supposed to be racing.
Beyond that, May is pretty full.
My next scheduled race is a Texas Muscle Car Club Challenge race at Northstar Dragway (1/8-mile track) on May 7th.
After that, 1/4-mile at Texas Motorplex in the Summit Racing Bracket Series (No Box) on 5/13 & 5/20.
TMCCC @ Texas Motorplex on 5/21, 1/4-mile.
Redemption No Prep @ Texas Motorplex on 5/26 & 5/27. Still looking to see if I'm spectating or participating.

Something's wonky with my wideband, so I won't be doing any WO2 tuning this weekend.

(...aaaannnddd, we're back.) Wideband is fixed, so it's off to Mexico to do some WOT logging.

Oh and on the way back from 21st Century Muscle Cars this morning (via Mexico), I got to play with a gray La Ferrari. Or should I say he was playing with me.

Also, NHRA All Access 4-wide Nationals is on the Idiot Box.

Well, I got my gauge fixed, *finally*. One of the wires had worked it's way out of the plug in the back of the gauge and finally detached completely. I got the pin inserted back in all the way. That should take care of that.
I also mounted the gauge. I used a cheap Auto Meter cup to mount the gauge.
I mounted it under the dash near my right knee. It's actually attached to the side trim of the console. I really don't like pillar pods and I am using the space in my cubby behind the screen so those were a no-go. Honestly, I could just as soon do without the gauge, but there's not really anything like that on the market.
No problems hitting the gauge with my knee as my seating style is straight legs.

Added a Halltech Stinger-R sourced from Edgyvette. Thanks Bro! Tim with EFI-Tuning has got my tune dialed in with the change. I can't say enough about Tim's service and attention to detail. Thanks so much!
Despite temps being 10-15 degrees warmer than I've run this year, I'm still expecting to pick up at least a tenth in the eighth. I'm hoping for at least .15 or better.
We will see.

*Very* happy with my day. Car ran as slow as stock and my reaction times absolutely sucked, but I guess it was the same for everyone. I went rounds and finally red lighted in the semi-final round. That was well above any previous performance.
All in all, I'm happy with the car's performance despite running 7.65 - 7.85. The inconsistency was due to poor track prep and needing drag radials; although I'm leaning more towards track prep as I've hooked with these MPSS ZPs before. My 60' times were 1.85 - 1.98, which is as bad as I've ever done. I will put drag radials on eventually as it's required for Drag Week, but I'd like to hold off until closer to that event.
My times were disappointing, but my speed was as fast as I've been in the eighth, including a best of 96.38 mph. DA was 2,500' all day. Between that and the traction problems all day, I'm certain a good run would be right at 7.40. Even with the DA, I would have been sub 7.5 if I could hook.
I run the King Muscle Car Class in the Texas Muscle Car Club Challenge. Here's my 3rd round win. It was against a team mate unfortunately. He broke out, running 7.64 on a 7.75 dial. I ran a 7.85 on a 7.65 dial. My worst start of the day with a 1.98 60'.

Eh, nevermind. Just not feeling it today. The bracket series there is just way too much standing/sitting around.

A map of all the E85 stations. Looks like I have a total of 6 within 5 miles of my house.

I drove by all of them yesterday to confirm. Good times.

No racing this weekend. Been watching the Redemption No Prep on Speedvideo.com.

Next race will be June 4 at the Texas Motorplex in the Texas Muscle Car Club Challenge. Opportunity to get some 1/4 mile racing done. Looks like I'll probably be running a 93oct tune for that too.

So new laptop (Lenovo Yoga 910 i7/16GB/1TB). HPTuners loaded no problem and has a standard USB port so this should work no problem.
Rain in the forecast all week so no opportunity to do any tune logging.

I'm still sitting at about 2/3 a tank of 93oct. It's reading 18% ethanol, so I still need to run it down quite a bit more and fill up again so I can get it at or below 10%.
Then I can get some logging done for my tuner to work on my gas tune.
This high mileage is for the birds. It's going to take me forever to burn up a tank of gas.
