i don't believe it will be a recall. If you have a Cel and reduced engine power the recal will fix it. People who don't track it probably have no idea the car can't go over 167!

I would rather have the car fixed ahead so I don't have the CEL occur at a track event. That said, I have been to 170 and no CEL yet.

2 weeks ago when testing the car for GM I hit 172.6mph on the front straight at Pocono then on the back straight was accelerating back up to speed and CEL and reduced engine power came on at 150mph.

In my case I got the cel at 170 and It went away a few start ups later. Hopefully the dealer will still reflash my car without the cel on.

I've found the throwing of the code is directly related to ambient temperature and engine temps. Lower ambient/engine is triggers the code at a relatively high speed. Couple track days ago mine was doing it at 115 mph. However, it was a 90+ degree hot and humid Oklahoma day and oil temp was about 295 degrees.

They all go away after 4 start cycles as long as the condition no longer exists. However, the code will still be stored in the CAN.

Default NEW BULLETIN August 21, 2017

Here it is:
New Calibration # 12690269
Bulletin # 17-NA-264

This should fix the cel and Reduced engine power (P0106) issue in the 2017 Z06's that get this warning. I am testing mine on Friday to verify.

Awesome. I just got on the list for a TB from Tony. I will test the car completely stock Friday, then probably put in the BMS filter and Mamo TB and X pipe for my September track days!
