Squeaky brakes
I have tried everything & all failed.
The car has 5200 miles on it (I bought it new) and this is driving me crazy.
I have followed a million solutions offered by a million different people and all have failed. So, if u know of something that doesn't involve changing out this part for that, or spraying the brake pads with WD40 or something similar, please let me know.
I have contacted GM and their answer (same as tire chatter) is this is a "normal" characteristic of the vehicle!!
I hate putting my lawyer's hat on, but I am half wondering out loud whether pursuing something thru California "lemon laws" would be a non-starter.
Help---but PLEASE don't offer me another deal requiring me to change out this or change out that or have u tried this spray or changing brake pads etc., etc.
Many thanks.

The best way to reduce squeak is to use the brakes harder by increasing pressure on the brake pedal. Instead of slowing the car over x distance when approaching a stop reduce the distance by one quarter and bring the car to a stop using more brake pressure. If that doesn't work cut the stopping another quarter and that should stop the squeaking. Stopping like your Grandmother showed you by weakly applying the brake pedal and dragging the brakes over a long distance is one of the causes of squeaking. You aren't driving a 1920s car with two wheel brakes. You are driving a modern 4 wheel brake car that will easily come to a stop over far less distance.
