Default AFE question.

seems strange to me, but i installed the AFE on my Lt1, was on a 2016 GS with dry sump for about 1000 mi and he went s/c, so one of the connections had a bung in it, anyway, i connected the one hose from the pass side and tied the other one off, the shop i bought said it didnt matter, obviously it is there for a reason, i m thinking to release pressure,(could be wrong). after about 200 miles, i come out and check the oil and is down almost a qt. i think wth don t know if this had anyting to do with not connecting it the intake or not. no leaks, and has never used oil before. is down to 35 % so that shouldn t be an issue. is a m7 with about 10k mi on it, runs great. so i took it off and put oem back on, and will monitor it. anyone have a thought on this ?

The z06 and stingray have different part #s. I don't think they are intended to be swapped with one another.

14-17 is the same part number for GS or Stingray, makes no difference, cept the GS has one pcv hose and the intake has 2 outlets, so one gets capped of. ..

i am not seeing some info.

is your car a dry sump, and what year?

many of the aftermarket cai's are set up to work for the two port wet sump and 1 port (revised) dry sump

also for the engine to be losing oil due to the new intake, there would be liquid oil all up in the intake. did you find that?
