No Cel for me. Stock **** with regular stick to make it look original. The flat stock with the billiard ball style is too much classic for the modernized Vettes. Just my opinion
It helped mine a little. While cold I just shift from first to third. After it warms up it seems ok. At some point I am going to change the trans fluid to synthetic. They say it helps a lot.
Do it. Redline ATF D4 made a huge improvement to my M7 transmission shift quality.
I really don't want to read another thread about how nice the MGW shifter. "Oh, this shifter is so nice!" "Everyone should get one of these!" Well, when I bought the car, my wife said that if I get a stick she won't be able to drive it, and having replaced three clutches in a VW she used to drive, I believe her.
Well, we bought an A8 in April and how many times has she driven it? Once! One time, the day after we brought it home, and basically because I forced her to. Once! That's it, that's all. Once, and maybe never again. She says it's easier for me to drive her.
So, have fun with your shifter and have pity on those of us who have the A8 when they wanted the M7.

I solved that problem. I have a 2016 Z06 Z07 with an M7. I bought my wife a 2001 Convertible with auto trans.
Mine went in today, I did start the car with the parking brake disconnected to test everything before bolting it all back up, triggered the CEL. CEL went away after 3 stops (about 30 min of driving).
word of advice, MGW suggests that the 22 ft lb factory torque spec is not enough for the collar t40 bolt. Tighten as hard as you can with a t bar. Evidently the shaft cutout is not precise enough to hold it in position alone, hence the need to clamp that thing nice and tight.
best money I’ve ever spent on anything, even outside of cars.
