Are you using the 18" 345 MT? Does the taller height mess with the computer in any way when using stock front wheels & tires? Thinking about going with the taller (over 20" OEM height) MT 345/18" drag radials. Thanks.

I have not had any issues... I was told that they are the best all around tire for the strip and street. They were trying to get me on some new ones at the M/t truck at SNSC.

Those tires could be overkill for some setups especially with stock power and stock converter.
If the stock runflat can cut a low 1.5x on a stock c7Z06 then a 345 MT seems too much for that setup.
Plus we know a 245 drag radial is capable of at least a low 1.5x with a manual c7 and which is much less forgiving than the auto on the launch.
Then there's the advantage of less weight and rolling resistance with a lighter rim and smaller tire... and often a gearing advantage with a smaller tire.
In addition smaller is often cheaper.
I also worry about the strain the large drag radial puts on parts especially over time.
Just some food for thought.

That 345 M/T weighs what 35 lbs?
The 315 Hoosier is 26 lbs.
Plus the Hoosier is shorter so it's like a slight gear swap also.
Too bad Hoosier doesn't make a 275/35R18.

So the Mickey Thompson SR is what everyone is using for front runners? What if I wanna do roll racing 60-160..? Are there any other options for an 18x5 rim that has a higher speed rating than the 130 of the MT's? Since roll racing will see the tires being used for more than short bursts, and used as basically a street tire, are there any other options out there?
