I just put a seat of KooK LT's 1 7/8 on my car a few weeks ago with green cats. I have had both ARH & Kooks. Honestly I was pleased with both don't think you can go wrong with anyone. The install for me was pretty easy,, just wished I would have just pulled the trigger on the offroad x-pipe.
I’ve got 2in arh and I wish I woulda got the green cat xpipe instead of the race x pipe. The gas smell annoys me sometimes. The headers made a massive difference tho. Probably my favorite mod.
I bought a new set of ARH and both leaked out of all four I had to cut the collectors weld inside union clean with sanding drums and tic welded them back or send them away and wait 2/3 weeks with my car on Jack stands.
Just sold then today and got Kooks installation wise is night and day hands down Kooks.
ARH had to remove ds knock sensor pass side remove starter then loosen motor mounts and lift engine over one inch to get ds in, this on a c6 gs though but what a difference with the Kooks just remove existing exhaust and they go rite in with inches more starter clearance both sets appear to be equal length primaries.
With the long tube headers no cats I know you need a tune.
My question is,when you say a tune do you mean a real tune, A/F ratio?
Or to shut off the CE light?
Shut the CEL off for sure. You don't have to change A/F ratio but you won't see the full performance benefit of the headers without doing so.

Ignoring the snarky remark, I’ve had LG’s and Kooks but neither on the C7. LG’s on my C6 and Kooks on my C5. I was happy with both but obviously no side by side compare.
Must resist being assimilated by the mod bug on my Z06. Not to mention I don’t really need any more attention drawn to this car.
Also, not a big fan of the valve train racket that you get with long tubes.

Lou will be at COTA this weekend. I bet we'd have room in the race trailer to bring your C7Z back for some....upgrades.
Only way is LG are ARH headers. Just don't believe what the guys at KOOKS tell you at all. I got a set of 2 inch headers from them on one of the c5 builds. I was told that what I got was new design setup would not have to do nothing to the AC lines. Two days it burn a hole in the line I called them was told they may have sent me the old set up.
Yes I did call & gave # on box told me was good to go & that one tub was close but good. They wouldn't do nothing about it at all yes I got the headers from them new. It cost me over 400.00 to get a new line made up & AC rechged in the car. Robert
I have KOOKS on my C7. But they have TERRIBLE customer service. Poor to non-existent installation instructions. And the header gasket that came with the kit were very susceptible to installing backwards. That was, they looked to be like a palindrome but they weren't at all. That is, the gasket could ONLY be installed one way, the right way. I know, I know, rookie mistake.
BUT that all could have been avoided with a simple insert into the gasket packaging or into the kit that says....."Install it this way OR ELSE". And then when I tried working with their rep on the gasket and melted O2 sensor wiring (I know, another rookie mistake), the response was more or less, go fly a kite.
I know that in my business I can't get away with telling customers to go f off. But I guess that KOOKS can do it.
