Repair removable clear top
Well, I did it. I didn’t latch my clear top after putting it on. I drove off and once I got up to 40mph or so, it flew off and landed in the road. I thought it would explode when it hit the ground, but I was surprised at how little damage it had. It is structurally sound and very usable. However, when installed on the car, the leading edge of the top has some scuffs on it. It is noticeable to me so I’ve been using my solid top instead.
Anyone know of a way to buff out the fairly deep scuffs to the leading edge of the clear top? Thanks

Insurance should cover this under comprehensive coverage. -- BUT -- If it were mine I would hand wet sand with progressively finer grit. After that polish with cutting compounds up to 3000 grit and see how it looks. If it is just the edge after the polish and it looked not so good I would consider covering the edge with the right width tape stripe to match the car or clear tape like clear bra stuff.
