Default Hood Vent Remove & Replace

Am I REALLY supposed to "pound out" the old vent? I've seen the Utube???
I'll brake a few of the nylon tabs, I'll crack/brake some fiberglass in the hood.
,17 GS CE #663 NO center line in Vent (non Z06)
I've go the over off, the clip "Tool", it seams impossible/timely to try to remove
each (10 clips) while hood is installed... Help.... Albany, NY

? I’ve removed my hood vent to wrap my hood. Definitely thought I was gonna break it. But it turns out it’s super strong and you have nothing to worry about

Nice steady pressure hit around the edges with palm of hand or rubber mallet will do the trick. Worked for me!

Slip a shop towel through the vents and grab both ends... Then yank real hard.

Do not yank, pull, jerk, tug, hit, strike, dynamite, bludgeon, slap, twist, thump, punch, knock, bang, cuff, smack, tap, spank, stroke, welt, karate chop, chisel, hammer, spindle, fold or mutilate on anything. It is easy as hell to get the vent out of the hood. Give me a minute to find the thread.

Pry the first spot a little to get some movement, then go to the next tab and pry a little, continue around the vent and by the time you get back to the first spot, the vent will probably fall off the hood into your hands. Work smarter; not harder.

Yanking with a shop towel worked for me. Nothing broke and it popped right out.

I was shocked.

Your mileage may vary.

Jus sayin'
