Good Evening, I was watching this thread as I am having the same exact issue with the driver's memory control module. I updated every other module except this one. It fails every time. I just installed a new module today and it does the same thing. Confirmed good power and ground. Has anyone figured this out yet?
Thanks.

Thanks for pointing me in that direction. What was the conclusion? Are we not able to reprogram that module at home with sps? Is it just a simple reprogram procedure on the dealer end? Please elaborate as I feel like I'm giving up taking it to the dealer.

They want to make money off you. Your lucky you haven't needed a security code so far. Some modules requires them or a VIC number which they won't help you with it either. I'm having the same issue with the passenger seat module and rear axle module that it won't program. I can't swap the mileage from the bcm to the new cluster without a VIC number, I unable to reprogram a new ebcm without a security code.

Thank you for the follow up. I will make an appointment this week to get it reprogramed. Did the OP ever have their issue resolved?

You might try pulling the fuses on everything else on the low speed GMLAN. It's possible that one of the other modules is interfering with communications.

I still have not been able to program either of my seat modules. I plan on attempting it again here in the next couple of weeks and I will post an update. It's finally getting nice enough that I will be able to get it out of storage for the summer. I like Laserdude's idea, might have to try that.

Was the Dealer able to program it? What did they charge you? Thanks

Finally was successfully able to program both passenger and driver seat memory modules. Not sure if it was a factor but I had the seat side connectors, the connector that goes the the seat motors, disconnected and had the car in the accessory position.

Hi there. Could you provide more details on how you managed to get this done? I'm having the exact same issue with the same GM P/N on a 2014 Cadillac CTS VSport Premium. It's driving me nuts!
I had both seats unbolted so that I could get at and disconnect everything except for the MCM itself. I cleared the codes, removed both fuses for the MCM, disconnected the battery for over 10 mins and then put everything back together and tried using SPS to "Replace and Program". Still getting the failure with the exact same codes that were showing on yours.

HELP!

I wish I had more details as to why it worked but I have no clue why it did. Really the only thing I did different was unplug everything from the module except the connector that provides power and CAN signal, I think my CAN signal was on separate connector so I had 2 connectors plugged into the module. I also only put in ACC mode, just 1 press on start button (did not hold to put in RUN mode).
Hopefully you can get it to work.

Thanks so much for your quick reply. I really appreciate it. I've downloaded the specs for each connector and think I know which two I need to keep plugged in. I'll give it a try today and report back. I hope this does it! I'm just annoyed that I have to take out the seat AGAIN. This is going to be the 3rd time in as many days. I can get this thing in and out about as fast as a NASCAR pit stop at this point. HAHAHA
After I get this figured out, it's the Android Auto/Apply Car Play upgrade install... I'm a glutton for punishment.

So I tried the method that worked for you and I wasn't able to make any further progress. I tried it with only those two connectors inserted, then also disconnected the passenger seat module. I tried it with the power only on accessory and in run mode (with and without the engine actually running). Then I put everything back together, removed the two fuses for this unit and then disconnected the battery for 10 mins, put it all back together, reset the codes and tried it all again with everything connected to both drivers and passenger modules but I give up. I just dropped it off at the dealership and they want $150 just for programming and cannot "guarantee" it will work because they didn't install it.
This should be a fun ride... (sarcasm font)

I know this in an older thread, but TorontoCTSV, did the dealer successfully rectify your situation and if so, any feedback to share?

Hi there. Yes. The dealer did it in less than 15 mins. I dropped the car off and they called me telling me it was done before I got home.
I'm not sure what I was doing wrong with the GDS2 I've got but they solved it quickly... at a cost of $180 CDN for a "1 hour diagnostic" arguing that even though I was telling them what the problem was, they had to inspect it themselves.

Gotcha. Thanks for the reply. I just dropped off the car my to the dealer and I am sure I am in for a similar treat at $140 though for 1 hour

*Update* So the dealer did as TorontoCTSV had done and they had no issues re-programming the power seat module. The technician came out and asked if I was using a VCX Nano, for which I said I was, and he said this isn't the first instance of seeing this happen. So in my mind, there is some minor limitation to these knock-off/clone devices. Anyways, issue resolved.
