I am thinking about having a cam installed. I currently have installed, Billy boat headers, x-pipe high flow cars, Billy boat fusion exhaust, Afe carbon fiber intake and ported throttle body with tune. I don't really know much about the process of having a cam installed but love the sound.
If anyone has this installed and went through the process would great to hear of your input.

Also would is a rough shop install cost?
Thank you
I don’t know what area you are in, but expect about 6k installed, all in with DOD delete and such. More important than price is the shop/person you choose to do it, lots of places will tell you 1 week and the car will still be there in 2 months. I don’t do that crap...
Have you researched shops in CA? If none available, then you have great options in AZ and TX. Keep in mind, whoever you have it installed by AND re-tuned, that it most likely will require you leaving for your car for a few days at least. Are you willing to pay over $6K for the sound? If I was looking at installing a cam, it would be for the drivability, performance increase, and then sound in that order. It sounds like you may want to do some research to help determine what it is that you want. I'm guessing you've already figured out the CA emissions procedures in regards to modified vehicles there.
Well I have my car going into a shop to install the following this week:
Katech K 1 force cam shaft
Katech ported supercharger
Katech ported supercharger snot
Katech ported heads with new lifters and timing chain
PSI high lift valve springs
Katech 103m throttle body
Katech valve painted cover with relocation kit
MSD spark plug cables
Katech spark plug covers
Katech valley delete cover
New spark plugs
Meth kit
Griptec 2.40" supercharger pully
ATI super damper
ATI 15% overdrive supercharger drive pully
Tune of engian and transmission
I’m going to say around 740-750rw on a dynojet. The 2nd or 3rd pull is going to really suck if you don’t upgrade the heat exchanger and/or add a tank to ice it down (but if your doing that, you need to re-route intercooler lines).

Who's doing your install and tune? If I would have saw this earlier a I would have recommended GP Tuning, only a few shops up north that I would take my car to.
