It's cool, but I don't understand it. I guess I just not into engine bling. The factory valve covers work well enough. I'd rather spend my money on going faster.

Jason is doing that to his car that is basically a track rat and he replaced the entire SC not just the cover. It's to get the tilted cooling bricks that reduce detonation in the rear cylinders under heavy track load. It's not for cosmetics.

Replacing the older style OEM z06 blower with the updated one, I guess? Is it really worth the expense?

Yes from my data logs makes a big diff - I wouldn’t waste time with older style 15/16 blower
