am looking for opinions on good cams to install in 2016 m7.
just need a little more power, don t want to lose the torque and looking for bottom end grunt.
did some research on here but not very definitive.
It would probably be best to contact a few experienced shops who can discuss your goals and match the cam to those goals. Based on what you wrote, sounds like you are willing to lose top end if needed in order to gain a little more bottom end? Not saying it has to be that way, but that is the way it reads You will also find that many shops, especially those that use custom/specialty grinds, don't typically state their specs in open forums.

thanks, yes i maybe mis represented what i m looking for, i don t want to lose the bottom end, not that there is much there now, could do with a little more. top end doesn t mean much to me. after 4th gear redline, i m usually done anyways. been looking around at some of the vendors on here. not a lot of choices. and the lsa they build in is 116 due to the vvt i am told, so no chop i would say.
but will keep nosing around and calling.
thanks
With what "shops" charge for cam installation (I'm guessing you're going to pay for installation as opposed to DIY) on LT motors and the fact you want "low end" power - I'd forgo a cam swap all together and purchase a PD blower.
The PD blower will give you plenty low end and not have an effect on drive ability - until you want it to.

understood. i have high expectations maybe at 500. but want to stay n/a
and will not be paying a "shop" to do it.
i have done c5 s and c6 s, and i know the c7 is a different beast .

He is great to work with and lots of experience with LS and LT motors.
Most of the dyno graphs that have been posted for cams that make 500-550 rwhp take a hit on the bottom end. Just doing full bolt ons and E85 will give you a nice bump (50-70hp) and increase the tq/hp down low as well. The stock cam is very torque, your probably not going to improve on it, and if you do the top end wont be making the power you want. For just a little more than what a cam + install will get you, any of the base superchargers could add 100-150hp easy on the big end. If you really want to increase the TQ down low, get a positive displacement s/c and make 600+ ftlbs at 2500 rpm lol.

You can get REALLY close to 500 with a bolt on set-up. Headers, CAI, Ported MSD (or Ported stock), Ported throttle body (now you can use the ZR1 95mm, which I would add to the MSD if you went that route), under-drive pulley, and flex-fuel. This should be a 480+ whp setup depending on dyno. Will drive like a stock car and give you a bit extra oomph. The best part is, after you get all of this done, a bad *** H/C setup will get you close to 600whp.
Check out Poppacap and his C7GS. He is doing really well with bolt ons.

ATI makes a 10% UD for the 6gen Camaros. I figured they make one for the C7s as well. I may be incorrect?
I also overlooked the fact that this car is an M7. OP should definitely look into getting rid of that heavy clutch that comes from the factory. Something in the 25-35lb range will really work nicely and drop 30-40lbs off your crank shaft!
