When my 2018 Corvette is in sport mode with open exhaust, under full throttle, it backfires when it shifts from 1st to 2nd The dealership said this is a common problem with the C7 and showed me a printout of the issue. Does anyone else have the issue or know if there is a fix?
Welcome to the forum and congratulations on your C7!
I would suggest you will probably have a better response posting this question directly in the C7 Tech section of the forum at https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...rformance-169/.
Hopefully this is nothing significant.

Do you consider this a problem or a feature? I don't even know how to respond here... ahh... post count!
Normal and awesome. My M7 will do it occasionally under the right conditions, but it always puts a bigger smile on my face!!! Passengers just yell "Holy Sh#@"

Not really an issue so there is no fix. There would be a lot of complaints if they did fix it.
The dealership said it's a common problem and showed you a printout ??? Uhhh what........ ?? It's not a "problem" at all. It's completely normal and exactly what it's designed to do.
I was actually wondering if I could get more pops and bangs added when I get my ride tuned. Is it just a case of dumping extra fuel into the cylinders when letting off the throttle?
