JackTBear, what happens is that when you disconnect the battery the ECM/TCM also forgets what it learned from the transmission (shifts) but it will learn it all back in a few driving cycles. There is a procedure to accelerate that but normal everyday driving will do it. Drive and shift like you want (do not avoid hiccups) to have the ECM/TCM learn those shifts under those conditions, you should see improvements every driving cycle.
Thanks,

Thanks,
Thanks for the advice Mike, that makes total sense to me now, I suspected that was what I was seeing. It’s learning quickly, with just today’s driving around town. Totally stoked about what I am feeling with the throttle response, it’s immediately more fun to drive. More observations later, all good.
I have a '19 GS M7 and wanted a little bit more low to mid range power. I installed an AFE CAI and noticed some improvement. Then I put the Soler Ported TB on and it made a real difference off idle through the mid range rpms. So I was thinking about a tune but did not want to void my warranty. After a couple of emails with Mike @ Soler, I tried the TB controller. It really made a huge difference in the performance of my car. In the P-3 settings, it basically negates the traction control at the bottom end. Tires go up in smoke, even in the 2nd gear shift. I use the P-2 settings as he recommends. To quote Mike, I am now controlling the car and not the ECM. Great addition for $75.

I have also installed the Soler PTB with the Soler throttle controller. What a huge “seat of the pants” improvement in my ‘19 A8 Z06 right away!
The setting that I use for daily driving, is, P1.9. This setting has a very smooth, improved throttle response compared to stock and this makes driving the car a much more pleasurable experience, IMHO.
For spirited driving around town, I use P2.1, which will make the tires break free with minimal throttle input, depending on tire/road surface temps), so, you have to definitely pay attention, as the throttle/acceleration response is light and very quick.
The P3.9 setting is super aggressive in throttle sensitivity and response...I recommend this setting only for the race track for lightning quick, full throttle response/situations...Warning-better have sticky/warmed up tires.

Bought a 3' lightning cable extension from Amazon for $6-hard to find at local retailers. I extended the head unit cable under the console, tucked under the rear trim piece (lightly filed slots for the cable in the corners) and used 10 lb velcro instead of the provided 2 sided tape. I also suggest securing the cable to the unit using some sticky tape. If you unplug while driving you loose throttle control.
Here is another great idea for the harness and control unit down at the pedal, thanks to another member (The Successful Plumber), picture by member (Exact1). Super clean, I did this on mine too. Check this thread.
30 miles o car, omnstalled the PTB and the throttle controller. Absolutely undeniable positive change in response time from low RPM 1000-3500 in acceleration. Lag gone, idle smoother, and fixed everything oi was hoping it would. Mike answered his phone both ties I called w tech questions, fear arrived 2 days after order, was complete w instructions for those who need it and its the best $ I have spent on performance in a long time. Feels like a new tune....It unleashed the low RPM beast......Thanks Mike
BTW, I think GM engineers know how to do this very well, but there must be some other "reasons/forces" at play. It still beats me when I think why it is the way it is from factory. I have some theories but its all speculation. What I can tell you is that I have been for more than 20 years in the design and manufacturing sector and I have learned that engineers don't get to make the all the decisions.
All things considered, I think we have the best car for the buck, it just needs a few tweaks, and we truly think this is the best Mod for the buck! .
Do you have his TC? I’d check it out for only $75.00 You’ll be thanking me later
I have been around a long time .... I have the a vittesse throttle controller in both my C6 and now my C7 bought wayyyy before Mike was on the scene . I am a firm believer in throttle controllers as I use mine to help me Launch the car at the track

I bought the Soler TC because I was spoiled by the Vitesse TC I had on my 2010 GS; I definitely wasn’t disappointed. Completely changes the feel of the car in a great way! I just ordered the TB and can’t wait to get it!
