Question, I guess best asked Mike. I have a K-tech currently and my car has been tuned. Would it be better to send in a stock to have reworked or the K-tech?

Thanks, AKKutz. It is always a bit better/safer to start from an unmodified TB, especially if it has been in service for a shorter time/mileage. A modified brand name PTB is also more valuable shall you decide to sell it later on.

Just got mine on the car today per that is to start it up, after unhooking the batt for at least 8 hrs. It did start right up even with a modded car like I have but at first it ran like **** on first start up. But you do need to do like the paper work says on let it run for 3 mins turn off for one min, then repeat this 4 diff time. The car gets better each & every time. Then take her for a drive.. Seems to be a very nice piece. Robert

Unhooked bat while I installed mine and took out air filter to blow it out. Took my time, stopped for lunch and cleaned up garage. Install was easy. Bat was unhooked a few hours. Hooked up bat and attempted start, started on second try. Did a few off and on starts as instructed then a short drive. Noticed my selection to change exhaust to track would not work nor sport or any other selection. Let it sit over nite and took another short drive and all was back to normal. 2nd drive was noticeably better but I don’t see an appreciable difference from stock . Tip in is slightly better and I’m expecting to see more improvement over time. Does seem more lively at low throttle.

Default I drank the cool aid

I was not happy with the off idle performance of the car. It always presented itself in odd ways. With me stalling the car occasionally(manual). So I ponied up and bought the throttle body.
I put it in last night, nothing to it really. I then pulled the fuse for the Engine and Trans ECU (look in your owners manual) and let it sit overnight.

This morning I started it and ran through the still learning process. It was rough at first and then smoothed out. Drove it to work. Hard to say what the change is at this point. I'll report back after I get some miles on it.

Just an update on mine after a couple of thousand miles. The throttle response is still excellent especially when just tipping in at any speed. I used to get out of the Vette and then into my G37x and the G seemed so much faster than the Vette because the throttle response was so much better. Not anymore, the Vette’s response is pretty close to the G and doesn’t feel slower anymore. It really is an amazing product and makes the Vette a lot more fun to drive than before.

Default ttt

Was able to put a few miles on my car with this T.B. on it at idle this thing is surging really bad. But my car has a blower cam & MSD intake. Talked with Mike yesterday was really nice told me since I have a front placed blower. Told me to due a few more time on his start up for 3 mins & then let it cool down & restart a few time.

If this doesn't work he will send me a new one that is pushing less air that the blower is making it do.. Really nice guy & really willing to talk & help... Robert

I'm gonna have to order this - my RS3 *feels* soooo much faster (it is, but i'm talking about at all speeds and throttle inputs in general) - with the c7 it's like I really have to put my foot in it to get it to go anywhere. Seems like it is never sure I'm really intending to go - It's like it's my wife...saying, "You sure you want to go fast? You sure...? Really?? Think about it...Ok, ready??" And i'm here like, "YES, I want to go, I wanted to go 3 seconds ago! I'm giving you gas, please accelerate!" LOL

This car is replacing my 17 SS 1LE, and throttle input was much better. It was manual, and had basic bolt ons, but I do see manual guys in this thread complaining also. Is it just a Corvette thing??

It's the same throttle body, and has the exact same problems. It just feels more out of place in a sports car.

So I have had Mikes PTB for several weeks now, at least 800 plus miles.

Full disclosure, I got mine at a slight discount as I was testing the anti-warble mod he made...
Car was an 18 LT1 2lt stingray.

First and foremost, it immediately solved what I call the car falling on its face, like for us old timers, when we over gassed or jetted a carburetor. Mikes TB solved all of that right away. Did the impatient mode of getting it ready, maybe 20 cycles of what Mike wrote. Then just drove it as a daily. Can’t say enough, so I will just say, if it works for you, it will be pretty much awesome.

on to the warble,,now, in truth, I could make the car go into warble whenever I wanted to. My confusion was I had to make it, and if it’s so easy to drive around this issue, why is it an issue? . With Mikes, I now had to get a specific set of circumstances to get any warble...basically I had to make it do it. For all intents and purposes it was gone. It made the car fun.

Unfortunately, it made it so fun, it made me want a Z06... now Mike has graciously offered to exchange my tb for the Z06 one and cash (of course) So as soon as he lets me know the process, I’m doing this thing

THOMAS.
