Is there any way to increase the engine braking in a 2019 GS M7? When I lift off the gas, it feels more like an automatic transmission coasting and takes quite a while until the throttle closes.

I would just like the car to slow down a little more when I lift off the throttle. I don't think that rev matching does anything until you push in the clutch.
same issue here on my m7, when i let off the gas the throttle seems to hang around 2k for 3-4 seconds and slowly drops. bad deal when you expect to let off the gas and slow down

I would think there would be a way to electronically tell the throttle to close faster when you let up on the pedal.

The majority of the pitiful amount of engine braking these cars have is due to the dump truck clutch they have. When you have 60+ pounds of mass bolted to the back of the engine, it reacts very slow, especially when transitioning on and off the throttle. If you've ever driven a car with a light weight clutch, you immediately notice how quickly the car will rev and decel.
That doesn't sound right to me. When I back out of my throttle the engine backs off, and if I need to help with scrubbing of some speed I'll downshift. If I backed out of the throttle and engine didn't back off that would scare the sht out of me
Like others have mentioned maybe you’re in the wrong gear.
if you have nothing to contribute ,why bother posting . do you seriously think were just in the wrong gear or dont know what were talking about or know how to drive a manual
how many people that posted here and gave their advice/opinion actually have an m7
