Default Drag Pack Weights (Using C5 Wheels)

I did a lot of research putting my drag kit together. Below are some weights and information on wheel/tire setups that work on the C7. These should work on Base or Z51 since the rear brakes are the same. I do not know about Z06. Maybe this will help others or save someone some time.

Weights for Wheels (Rears only)
18x10.5” C5 Speedline Z06 - 21.4lbs
18x9.5” C5 Speedline “Thin Spoke” 20.04lbs ea
C7 Z06 Wheels Chrome 33lbs ea
C7 Z06 Wheels Nickel Pearl 31lbs (Some say 29lbs)
C7 Z51 28lbs (Some say 30lbs)
C7 Base 19” Chrome 30lbs
C7 Base 19” Silver 27lbs

Typical Drag Radial Weights - in 285/40/18
Nitto NT05R -29.3lbs
Mickey Thompson ET Street S/S - 34.0lbs

Weights for Wheels w/Tires (285/40/18)
18” C5 Z06 SpeedLine Silvers w/ET - 55lbs
18” C5 Z06 SpeedLine Silvers w/Nitto - 51lbs
18” C5 “Thin Spoke” w/MT ET Street S/S - 54lbs
18” C5 “Thin Spoke” w/Nitto - 50lbs

Alcoa C5 Z06 Wheels +1 lb each.
C5 Knock Off/ Reproduction Z06 Wheels generally add a lot but it varies by manufacturer. Some report 35lbs+ a wheel.

If buying used C5 wheels, look at the BACK of the wheels, they will have GM or “Speedline” stamped in them if they are genuine. Thin spokes will have “Speedline” and “Made in Italy” stamped on the back.
