I am rebuilding a 2019 corvette that was hit left front fender. I have a broken wire that is black with a yellow stripe that comes out of a bundle of wires. The rest of the wires in the bundle go to the windshield washer pump down by the rear of the fender. This wire could go up top somewhere or down below. Anyway can’t find the other end. Any thoughts?
Thanks
Walt
The Forward Lamp Harness runs along the top of the driver's side frame rail in the engine compartment. It connects with the instrument panel harness and the engine harness. Connector X102 connects the forward lamp harness to the engine harness. The brake vacuum sensor low reference signal (circuit 6032) is on pin 7 of this connector and is a black wire with a yellow stripe.
X102 is toward the front of the engine compartment on or near the driver's side frame rail and near the G101 frame ground connection point.
If the car has MRC the suspension control module is located right behind the left front fender (can be seen through the fender vent on wide body cars) and it is connected to the forward lamp harness. The right rear strut position low reference signal (black/yellow stripe) is on pin 5 of the module connector (K19). That signal is also located on connector X103 which connects the chassis harness to the forward lamp harness on the passenger side of the car.
From what I can gather from the service manuals the forward lamp harness is segmented into several sections and routes from one side of the car to the other through the front of the engine compartment. If the car has MRC I suspect your broken wire is this one as the suspension control module would be right where you had the damage.
