Default Corsa X-pipe install

I had a corsa x pipe installed while at Carlisle over the weekend. My question is why did they cut the secondary cats from my original pipe and attach them to the new x pipe ? Had i known i probably would have had the install elsewhere...should i just pay a shop to cut off the secondary cats and reinstall.

This is what the Corsa catless X-pipe should look like installed. The purpose being to eliminate the restriction & weight of the cats as they are not monitored & should not set a code.

No secondary cats.

Thanks for the pictures thats what i expected and what i paid for. Its been 3 days, i have left a message for the owner if its not resolved then i have to take another legal course of action. It appears to me that while at the event they were selling volume, i waited 6 hours for them to cut up my original x pipe and band it to the corsa in which was altered / destroyed in the process. Of course i would not have made the purchase had i known this was their intent.

Its probably for emissions reasons..

Wow that is disappointing, literally defeats the whole purpose..

I saw a few X pipes laying under cars while I was there and thought it was strange they were installing them again after getting busted a few years ago. Now I know how they were doing it. And I installed my Corsa X pipe myself so no cats were transferred to it. I would be mad as well, though would have specifically asked if it was cat free before I allowed them to do it.

They do that because it is illegal for them to remove the cats from the car.

Taking legal action against an legal action when you wanted something illegal doesn't make much sense unless you, in the end, want to be fined by the EPA.

Point? It is illegal to remove cats in the US. period. What the OP wants done is illegal to perform under federal law and can carry a fine of $10k per offense. Two cats = $20k fine.

Not hating just explaining why they did what they did. Seems pretty cut and dry.
