My earlier post -
This forum has been so helpful in helping me diagnosis small problems and helpful hints. So I wanted to share this quick story about the experience I had this week with the infotainment center in 2016 2LT 22k miles daily driver. Infotainment center went completely black and nothing worked. Called local dealership in Chattanooga TN and they said it was a "known issue" with GM cars with the 6.2L engine. He said the whole screen would need to be replaced. I had planned to take it the next morning - went out to start the car and it was completely DEAD. I hooked it up the jumper cables and as charge was getting to the car - screens started to come on - drivers door was open. Once the car jumped off everything was working and still is. I guess it just needed a "reboot (one of the suggestions on this forum). Still not sure what drained the battery so I am a little nervous about that, but 2 days and all is good.
Long story longer if the infotainment center gives you problems try the "reboot" before you take your car to the folks that are supposed to be the experts.
The broken screen is a common issue caused by a wire failing from running the screen up and down. You'll find some posts around here about it.
Mine infotainment system recently started acting odd, but its not the screen in my case... here is a recap of my issue: https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...io-screen.html
Sorry this doesn't help much, but just saying I'm in a similar situation. At this point I do think its battery, ground or charging related.

Thanks for the reply. I have a quick question because I am a Corvette owner and definitely not a Corvette tech! We I disconnect the positive cable the screen will work again for a few days. It sat for a week while I was on vacation and now NO screen again.
It's a 16. I had to replace the battery on my 15 last year. I'd replace the battery, especially since it was completely dead and you had to jump the car.If that doesn't fix it then I'd dig deeper.

I appreciate the info, but I didn't act fast enough. Yesterday the battery was completely dead (would not even start with a boost) after the screen not working for a couple of days. The dealership has it and I will update with their diagnosis. They were able to get it to start after I had it towed into them.
