Clearing codes to make a problem seem like it has gone away is a terribly bad practice. Have the system checked out by the dealership or purchase a high cost scan tool that can read the codes that generate that message. The message tells you there is a code which will tell you where to look for the problem. An OBD II only scan tool won't know there are any of those codes.
