I'm pretty sure you'll get that worked out! I'd have already been worrying you about setup on a 2650 if I didn't want to keep my warranty a little longer. Tuning is the best way to fix it because it's not a band aid. Since I dropped a valve and destroyed the engine in my 15 I'm sticking with a band aid right now.

Yah, the log I just did this morning showed improvement since I changed the electronic throttle to go wide open when it was demanded by the pedal. GM ramped it in and mine wasn't at 100% till almost 3300 rpm. I put my drag radials back on but it still spun them on the street but I was able to stay in it and get some other data also. Its now at 100% at 2200 rpms. Ninja mentioned a couple other fixes with the Torque Rate and Driver Demand. Just not sure how to change those to benefit the issue. Maybe Ninja can check back in and explain that.

Increase the values in Driver Demand and Torque Request Rate Limits.

Ninja could you show an example of how much it needs to be increased?

Amodified TB does more than just reducing the lag. The air flow with the original TB inmcreases very slowly with increasing opening for the first +/- 30° of throttle plate movement. Therafter the air flow increases rapidly. This leads to a sort of unpredictable behavior. You push down the right foot and up to a certain point relatively little happens, then all of a sudden torque increases rapidly. This then can lead to dangerous situations.
By smoothening out the transition from very little air flow increase per ° throttle plate opening to the area of a lot of air flow increase per ° of throttle plate opening, the car reacts more preticable.
As far as I see it, there is no way you can solve this via a tune.
Therefore I don't regard a modified TB as an band aid, but I agree that a combination of it with an adapted tune is a combination of two positives.

If a missed something in my post, let me know, we are here to learn.

Regards

Götz

My Throttle body is stock as the rest of the drivetrain is, I will probably pull the TB and manifold in the fall and get both ported. They together aren't huge hp gains but with a Cold Air intake and long tubes I should see some decent gains,

This thread has me very interested in tuning my throttle maps. Does HP tuners allow adjustment to each of the driving modes (eco, sport, track, etc) maps, or is it someone only 1 map?
