Install completed. Took it for a test drive, works great; however, engine light came on a soon as I started it, does not go off. Can't imagine why that is. Any ideas?

You had the MRC switch and e-brake connectors disconnected. If you turned on the ignition or started the engine before you had everything hooked back up, that will trigger the CEL. After a few starts and short drives, assuming everything is hooked up properly, it'll go away. Might get away with just starting the car, letting it idle, turning it off, and then repeating a couple times.

Thanks Jim! That's exactly what I did. During install, I thought I pushed the linkage out of neutral and needed to start the car to be sure. Pretty sure everything is hooked up correctly as it all works. Hopefully as you said, after a few starts or short drives, it will go away.

Started it this morning, let idle, light on. Turned off, started again, light out!
Thanks again!
