Are you looking to disable or fully delete?
The LT1 cam has different lobe profiles for the cylinders that deactivate, so you will need to change your cam if you intend to fully delete. I believe you have to use a factory LT5/ZR1 cam if you want to stay with the stock LT1 profile. No matter what, you will need a tune.

In the process of doing a full custom twin turbo kit now. He wants to get the bugs worked out on the stock motor then swap in a built unit. It would be nice if I could go ahead and delete the vvt and bulged front cover without swapping the cam. LME has a nice kit and they said it can be done as long as you tunes for it afterwards.
