So when you pull into a station that offers flex fuel it should have a label telling you what percentage the E might vary from time to time. You won't know what percentage they actually sell until you can measure it either with your HP tuners or some other method. I measure mine when I log my HP tuners. So my normal stations have a label of E53 to E85 however these stations never have a full blend to make the highest number. I've found a couple of stations in St Louis that get close to those number with E75. My buddy with the VP station has his formula where it is blended to a full E85 which that shows up my log so I know it a true E85 blend. So just saying not all stations offer a full blend that comes out to E85 and it varies from station to station. Some blend with 87 octane and some have higher octanes blended with the alcohol which would also bring up the octane on the blend. So to me that means they are blending much less alcohol with and that keeps the flex fuel numbers lower at a lot of stations. Hopefully that makes sense.
The P3 is nice. You do have to wire in a converter to convert the frequency output by the flex sensor to a 0-5V signal that the P3 can understand. It's pretty easy to do.
I use the Fuel It Bluetooth Adaptor. It plugs inline with your current flex fuel sensor and sends the alcohol content to your phone. Takes 30 seconds to plug in, no splicing or routing wires or installing gauges. Definitely worth the purchase. If you get one, make sure you get the version with the "raw 50-150hz signal" passthrough so that it will continue to forward the ethanol content signal to the ECU.

That is a cool setup for sure. You always have your phone with you and assuming there is an app that comes with it. I like this one the best of all. Thx for posting

Yup there is an app for it. Pretty sure the app is free if you buy the Bluetooth module if IRC. A little known fact about this setup is it is actually made by Burger Motorsports....the guys that make the BMS drop in filter for our cars. For those of us that Mix down our ethanol content, it is necessary to have a way to monitor real time so that you don't have to drag out the laptop every fill up.

You need the $200 Blue Tooth Module as well. But considering this would replace a gauge in the car and not having to run any wires, its a great alternative. I love mine.

If you're happy dragging your laptop out every fill up that's a great way to save $200. I find it absolutely worth $200 to not have to do this but I understand some won't agree.

If I'm using the same fuel all the time and I know its going to be at least E65 I really don't care but when I get close to race weekend and start adding my E85 (VP) then I check the E content at that time to get it around E70 or so. I really don't need to know until then.

I’m kinda **** though so I always like to see where I’m at with my E. I use an Ngauge to monitor my engine stats along with my E content. And of course in my Meth is always hitting pressure. Gauges getting harder to come by though but out there.
