Default AC/Heater Issues

I have a 15 C7. For the last year I have been having issues with AC and heater. The dealership literally replaced every part. $4000 later…same thing. It’s intermittent. One day the AC and heater will work, the next it does not. It will turn off and on during a car ride. No codes, every time a bring it to the dealership, it’s working so they can’t trouble shoot it, they make guesses and charge me each time. I tried resetting the factor setting. I tried to turn off and on the auto defrost mode. HELP!

I'm having issues with my 16. Intermittent blower motor and not blowing out the vents properly. I dropped it if at the dealer yesterday. They are replacing the blend door actuator. The door broke. They are also replacing my blower motor. They had to remove the complete dash out to get to the blend door. They are saying 14 hours in labor. Suppose to get it back Friday. Good luck to you. I feel your frustration..

@CorvetteMike2004 Did both…worked for a minute and started the same thing. Hopefully you’re not having the same issue.

@CorvetteMike2004 also ask for your old parts back because if it’s a situation like mine, they won’t give you your money back unless you prove it wasn’t those parts

So far its being covered by my warranty. Sending a warranty adjuster out tomorrow to authorize digging deeper into the dash. Parts are in Michigan. Hoping to have it back next week.

@charliebrown266 tried that, didn’t work. It was a non dealership that did it so maybe I should try the dealer?

Has to be extremely frustrating to have an issue that only acts up occasionally thereby making a repair hard for the dealership to accomplish. Best of luck getting this fixed without having to spend a lot more on parts/labor that may or may not be necessary.

Do you drive your car often? I've also had work done on mine. I don't daily drive mine.

I wonder if those that frequently use their cars see less issues with their A/C's. And if not using them often is part of the problem. Just a theory. I'd like to hear from the daily drivers. Also, if those with other GM vehicles see similar issues.

Intermittents are difficult to diagnose…they should not replace parts if they can’t reproduce your concern !!…I’d get my parts and money back and get your car out of that dealership…find a diagnostic shop !!…if they replaced parts it’s probably an electrical issue…better yet an auto electric shop would be better for you !!

Thankfully my warranty is paying 100% of the repairs to get my corvette fixed. Hoping to get the car back Monday.

If its working when you start to take it to the dealership then call them and cancel your appointment. If it ain't broke they can't fix it.

Try this posting. It helped me get mine working as I had this issue. Wire was either loose or fretting (corrosion), simply unplugged and replugged and it worked and is still working since last summer.
