Default C7 Corvette, Aircon service

Hello guys from sunny Scotland! I recently bought myself a 2015 C7, like the car very much, but have a failed Aircon system diagnose. Does the compressor fitting a new one however with it came and expansion valve and an air receiver dryer. Now I have searched the Internet high and low to try and find the location of the expansion valve and the dryer. I’m coming to the conclusion of this house behind the dashboard, I’m quite frankly, if it is I won’t be looking for it! Can anyone help me?

Many thanks from a very confuse Scotsman!

Drier is a desiccant bag located inside the condenser can be unscrewed and replaced. Just looking at a line drawing but expansion valve appears to be located on firewall behind engine and looks like it might be quite involved to replace.

Modern cars use an accumulator not a receiver.

Your lucky that you have a replaceable expansion valve as most are built into the high pressure hose. If plugged you have to replace the complete hose.

The desiccant is stored in the accumulator. Once opened to atmosphere it needs to be replaced, but there are a few tricks and ways around this but really not worth it.
