Hi there , i've recently found information in the forum about pairing a new key if i have an existing one. But how do i pair a completely new key ? According to the manual, i need to turn the key a couple of times at the trunk or something and the car goes to pairing mode, but again .... how can i do it if i have a brand new key with an uncut key blade.
Also please advise if this key fits my car (Grand Sport Coupe 2017 3LT) ?
Thanks for the answers

If you have an A8 automatic, that is the correct key.
Certainly you have one working key? Just use that one to turn the trunk lock.
That's what I'm talking about :| I bought the car at an auction and the key is missing
I have got the key from the link above, now I need to understand how I'm going to pair it with the car

your going to need someone to program it for you with a tech 2. And you’ll need a dealer/co to cut the new key for you with the vin number. Maybe a locksmith can do it too.
Why would you buy a car with zero keys? Let me guess. It's wrecked.
Tech 2 doesn't work for a C7. You need to find a dealer with access to SPS. Or find a dealer or locksmith who can cut the key for you. You will need proof of ownership and proof of identity.
You will need the metal key for the trunk to start the programming. That is only available from a dealer and is based on the VIN#.
Once you have the metal trunk key you can program new RKE remotes. Program all new remotes or reprogram old remotes, it doesn't matter.
You need to use the LONG method described in C7 General | Sticky Threads RKE/FOB item or "Programming without Two Recognized Transmitters" in your owner's manual. This also unpairs the missing fob.
You can download a pdf version of your manual in C7 General | Sticky Threads. You must have a cut metal key to pair fobs to the car using procedures in the Owner's manual or RKE/FOB thread. Otherwise a dealer or maybe a locksmith can pair the fob. You will still need a metal key for access if the battery is dead. A dealer parts department should be able to look up the key code based on your VIN and cut a key if you don't have one.

If you don't have the key, get one. Then have the dealer cut it for your VIN. Then use the key in the trunk key hole to do the long program and you will end up with 2 FOBs that will have memory.

Thanks for the manuals!

yes there’s a chance. As long as she has all the documentation.
also. If you have a good locksmith. They may be able to cut the key with the vin number. I’d check that first
Was the car wrecked? How did they even transport it without a fob? The metal key will get you into the rear hatch area, then there is a cable to pull that will open the driver's door. Obviously, you need battery power to pair a fob or do anything else.

GL
Ron
you can see the car in his aviator.
my bet is it was a repo.
so no keys.
I’m sure it wasn’t easy to transport.
he needs a good locksmith to cut the blank he has with the vin.

No no , its a random vette on my avatar . My vette is currently on its way from the US in a container
No idea how they transport it, but by the photos that I've got from the port, the driver's window is half open, so they have access to it. My guess is that the key was lost by the auction owner.
And yes @RonC7 , the car is after collision, here are photos from the auction

ahhh. Ok. Not a bad price. About 20k is I think if I did it right. Lol.
id call a few locksmiths. They should be able to cut the key with the vin.
Wow, that is quite a bit of damage. That is a lot to take on even if you have a good source for parts and technical advice. I'm sure you realize that the Corvette is as much a computer network on wheels as a mechanical device.
At some time they had a fob - needed to get the dash display shown in pictures.
