Hey Folks,I put a new battery in my 2019 Grand Sport/ZO7.Now I can't get my instruments to come back to where I had it.It seems to be stuck in the round speedometer mode with the individule gauges on the side.No matter what I do it keeps going back to that mode.Any ideas? Thanks
Recheck all connections on battery terminals plus silver connector plate on top of positive side. Also check small black wire is attached to negative terminal and or not damaged.
This has happened many times. Seems when they go back and snug up the terminals everything works again. It also seems to come back after a few cycles.
I hope you didn't put any dielectric grease on the terminals.
Just run through all of the settings. Most of the time a battery change (or dead battery) will only require indexing the windows. Sometimes other settings are lost - seems to be related to how long the car is without voltage.
Your specific complaint is related to display mode being set to Sport. This is changed with the right steering wheel buttons and the menus on the left side of the DIC (instrument cluster).
The Display Mode is set from the steering wheel buttons. Using the arrows under your right thumb - scroll to the left - INFO, Perf, ... Scroll down to the bottom choice, push the OK button between the arrow keys. scroll up / down until you get to Display Mode. Scroll right. Select from Link To Drive Mode, Tour, Sport, or Track. Push OK button. Scroll left 2 times and up to Info, Perf... Push OK to select...
Just play around for a while and see what is available.

Ron
when I changed my battery last year, I had the devil of a time finding my preferred sport display default. My museum host had set it up originally so I did not know how. I found it eventually.
The bizarre terminal design is very finicky. So, I learned replacing mine a couple months ago, when I had to improvise when making what should have been simple connections... (no I don't recommend following the youtube or PDF instructions here stating to needlessly take apart the stupidly designed +plate). However, usually if the "trunk" lights come on brightly, the connects are all appear intact, and nothing untoward happens when starting the car, it's usually all good at the battery. All the best.
Twist the **** on the console to a different mode...ie Sport, Track, etc. If the display changes, the car has defaulted back to being tied to the selected mode. As Ron mentions above, you'll need to manually go in and change the setting so the display mode is fixed to the style you want.
Go to settings,,,,, it will open in, "US" mode, click the down arrow,,, it will open the right window on the display,, you can then select the mode you want to be on.
Not sure this will fix it but worth a try.
