dang, do you work on cars at a shop? If so could I bring my car to you if this shop is not good? I’m in Texas but I don’t mind delivering it to you if it’s making the car healthy.
I said bring your car to Oz Mechanics…he is a diagnostician !!…read post #10.

alright so update the shop I have it at right now, they said they have to get that piping replaced because the car isn’t reading “shxt” he said and he said it’s needed to be replace to get accurate information to diagnose the misfire…. So what my solution and what I worked out with them is to give them the headers I have and x pipe and they install it, so they can get accurate information(I GUESS)…. But he sounded very frustrated that I cut the pipe after the cats right by the headers and kept asking me why I did it. So just let me know if this sounds right.
They can’t read what ???…cutting exhaust after the cat has nothing to do with not being able to read data PIDS.
they said my O2 isn’t reading anything right so. Idk man I guess they got a labor up charge on me. But if they can’t find my misfire after this I’m taking my fxcing car back.
Their terminology may off but I have seen several instances where a leak near a cat messes up the O2 sensor reading. And yeah the leak can be after the cat.

The O2 sensor downstream of the cat only monitors the efficiency of the cat…it is not involved in fueling of the engine.

well my next steps are this, they got it on the install on the long tube headers and x pipe which has a spot for O2 sensor I don’t know what they’re going for because installing that won’t change nothing since I still will misfire and I need a tune to even have the car recon the change in flow and apparently that’s they’re belief

Ha, thanks for this, so tell me if this is the right step, they already have my headers and piping out installed a x pipe and is waiting on the long tube headers I’m giving them. So I’ll pay that and then I’m getting out of there

update, so got the headers installed and they told me they’re gonna tune the car how are they going to tune it if it’s misfiring on 3 cylinders….
also the box I ordered they want it and they have a box already of the same company headers, going to ask to see the headers when I make it to the shop and x pipe they have they say that it’s brand new.
update, I told the guy in text I’ll pay for you for what you’ve done so far now and such and I also stated that I just want injectors and spark plugs change on bank 1, I don’t want no tune since I wanna save money. I then get a call I was happy at first they said my car is all fixed but they tuned my car plus replaced all my plugs on both banks and injectors. And I have a pay the 850$ for they’re tune I didn’t approve what could I do?
update: I got my car out of the shop it ran great for a day I just drove it this morning and my rev match not operating and temp gauge not operating literally fucked bruh I just spent all that money and They told me it was fixed.
