Installed Attack Blue filter, took her out for test run. When I parked in the garage and turned her off, the fan in engine bay ran like crazy and it was only 44 degrees out! Did I do something wrong on the filter install? This was first time the fan ran like that (even during Texas heat) and had to restart and shut off again to stop it, WHY? Also, on down shifts, now have a little more back fire than before filter change. Have AWE Touring set up, no X-Pipe or headers.
The coolant sensor is the sensor on the water pump. You had to disconnect the wire just before the air filter to install the filter, make sure it's connected securely/correctly.

Can you check what the code is? Do you have an OBD2 scanner that reads codes and to clear the codes? If not, disconnect the neg terminal on the battery for 20 minutes. Be careful of the little black wire.

Not to worry. That C7 filter never has and never will cause any CEL. The few times we have heard someone complain, it's because they did not re install everything back properly, or something unrelated to the filter.
If you have any further issue, I suggest plugging in and reading what the problem actually is to address it.
Disassebled and reassembled and reinstalled filter, then did negative diconnect. Found one screw on the airlid not quite seated right, reinstalled it. All is well no more Engine Light..
