Automatic Z06 Opportunity
Hello, I currently own a 2010 ZR1 really love the car, however my local dealer just called me and informed me they had a customer back out of his order. It is an automatic Z06 that stickers at only about $84K. Just seems like a great deal, especially with the automatics appearing hard to get. Any opinions?

What options does it have?
Go to chevrolet.com and build one with the options you would wont. If it doesnt have all that you want the no way. You will be disappointed later. Now if he is going to drop the price a good bit then maybe live without your options.

That is my biggest concern, the cars a 1LZ only options were the black badges, black calipers, and hood stripe. I am thinking that if I got one I would need a few more options.

Its a 1LZ, I was thinking a 2LZ would be more of what I want.

then I would pass. Like lawdogg said... you will wish you'd ordered something that had the options you really wanted, or you'll wish you'd waited for an available car with like options. Either way, "settling" for a car that doesn't have the options you want will be frustrating later on.

Agree. Also the PDR and level 2 at least aero would be the deal killer for me. Now if he wants to knock about $7500 off that MSRP than you better take it. Then buy aftermarket aero.

They had a 2LZ in the same color (Shark Gray) and it did look good. I think that is the color I would have to have. Nothing wrong with a more base car just think I may want a few more options.

Personally, they would have to give me the car. Then I'd order what I wanted and use it as my trade in. Imho, someone went low rent on the spec sheet. Prolly changed their mind and bought a Chevy Traxx .........

It all depends on your wants & needs.... I ordered my 1LZ with PDR/Nav only. It's all I really needed and love it to death! A hot day in So FL today and the A/C kept me cool... and itself in fine working order/temps even through spirited driving.

Yea this car isn't equipped with the PDR, but for someone looking for a nice cruiser and the power it would be perfect.

When I ordered my car from Mike Furman at Criswell, he estimated the time to build and deliver it would be 60-70 days, and that's exactly what it took. Order the car the way you want it and before you know it, it'll be at your door. I highly recommend Mike and he always seems to have cars come in where the buyer backed out so you might luck out and get the right car even sooner. Otherwise, what's a couple of months to get the right car?

Looks like the prudent thing for you to do is take a pass on the 1LZ car in question and pull the trigger on a C7 Z when your good and ready and with the color and options that you want, otherwise seems like you will always be second guessing your decision, etc.

Before you put down the 1LZ it would be good to look at the options closely and see what you'll be missing. I'm getting 1LZ, and I'm coming from a 2LT Stingray. I'll add some of the options back that I'd miss like; garage opener, rear cargo shade. I doubt I'll miss heated seats, theft deterrent, the subwoofer, or even the Z06 logos on the seats. I will also add carbon fiber dash myself (saves $500). That's not available with the 1LZ. Because of what comes standard with the 1LZ (HUD, mag ride) it's a great value on the Z06.

I'm guessing you would be ridding of the ZR1? IMO if you are really liking the Z more than your ZR I would wait for the prices to drop which they will and get the car you want. Personally I would keep the ZR too if you can afford it, they will make Z's for a while but the ZR is done and the best Corvette ever IMO.

I was emailing back and forth with my salesman, I think what I will do is just order one the way I want. Thanks for all of the help, if anyone has been looking for a 1LZ PM me maybe someone can at least snag this one.
