Only people with WCC lowering bolts
Sense I have installed my lowering bolts in the rear only the rear end of my car makes a lot of noises. Is this normal? My car is a Z07 A8. We have a lightly rough old black top road I drive down to go home and it makes a lot of noise like as if my exhaust hangers were loose and they were all banging around.
Thank you

i used these on my C6 and they were very noisy. the rubber is very poor quality and wears through fast. for this reason, i would not consider using them on my new Z06.

I really don't notice a difference from the stock bolts. I don't have them all the way down to the rubber, so maybe that's why.
What noises are you hearing? Just over bumps? Driving in general?

Its very annoying noises, I can't even drive the car over any bumps without it just sounding horrible. I guess i am just going to take them off and put back the stock ones and lower it on stock bolts.

Are you sure that your truck bushings are screwed out so that there is no play? Thats maybe what you're hearing?

you could try an experiment to see if they are causing the noise. raise the rear so that the tires are off the ground a little. with another jack and maybe a small piece of wood, raise one side of the fiber spring so there is clearance between it and the rubber foot of the lowering bolt. apply a thick grease or even Vaseline between the rubber foot and A arm perch..
if the noise goes away for awhile, you've proved it is the lowering bolts. also, once the rubber foot is worn out, the metal will eat into the aluminum swing arm and you will have to sand it smooth.

I would cut a rib off the stock bolt cushion before going with aftermarket bolts. Your other option is doing it the right way, stock bolts with LG drop spindles.

I'm worried now about the noises, I'll see if I can take a video of the noises, I'll also post pictures up of under the car. The drop spindles from LG are sure nice. But 2k...:/
